Anna B. Davis

Anna B. Davis (maiden name: Berry) was born around 1858 and was originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She married Wray Wirt Davis on January 4, 1884, at the Centenary Church in St. Louis. They had no children. Following her husband's service, the two lived in Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. After her husband died on February 11, 1914, in Washington, D.C., Davis lived at a hotel called "The Cairo" in Washington. She began receiving a pension of $12 a month commencing on April 21, 1914. A special act of Congress increased the pension to $30 a month beginning on March 3, 1917. She died the following year, on August 15, 1918, and is buried alongside her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
