Virginia Day

Virginia Day (maiden name: Turner) was born on September 12, 1838. She married a Douglas Day sometime before 1860. The couple lived in Warrenton, Virginia, with Day's mother Lucretia, brother Henry, and sister-in-law Josephine, as well as the family's black servants: Sallie Washington and Thomas Moton. They had five children: Annie, born about 1860; Baldwin, born about 1862; Alexandra, born about 1863; Virginia, born about 1868; and Douglas, born about 1874. She died on January 25, 1910, at the age of seventy-one in Warrenton and is buried alongside her husband in the Warrenton Cemetery.
