Mary G. Hunter (maiden name: Gilbertson) was born around 1858 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married John A. Hunter as his second wife in Salt Lake City on November 10, 1881. Together they had a son: John A. Hunter Jr., born around 1884. Following her husband’s death due to diabetes on June 22, 1887, in Salt Lake City, she began receiving a pension. Based on extant records, it is unclear when or where she died.
