Felicia Minerva Montandon (maiden name: Isbell) was born on June 29, 1836, in Lenox, Massachusetts. She married James Edgar Montandon in Lee, Iowa, on July 1 or 4, 1856. They had two children: Nellie Josephine, born in February 1857 in Iowa, and George Edgar, born on May 29, 1859, in Illinois. Following the war, the family lived in Topeka, Kansas; Arizona; and Tacoma, Washington. The couple became active members of Tacoma society, frequently attending and hosting social gatherings. She died of heart failure on February 24, 1904, in Tacoma.
