Mary Crossman Redmond

Mary Crossman Redmond (maiden name: Frost) was born on October 1, 1839, in Locust Valley, New York. She married Charles P. Redmond on September 6, 1866, at the Church of St. John the Baptist in New York. The two had no children and settled in Little Rock, Arkansas, before returning to New York in 1880. Charles died on September 18, 1888, in Locust Valley, and Mary subsequently married Colonel Henry B. Bristol sometime between 1892 and 1895. They lived in both Locust Grove and Washington, D.C., and frequently traveled both to Europe and across the country. While on a ship returning from England, she contracted Bright's disease. She died suddenly in Locust Grove on September 8, 1900, and is buried in the Frost Family Cemetery in Locust Valley on Long Island alongside her first husband.
