Elizabeth Grace Livesay

Elizabeth Grace Livesay (maiden name: Lang) was born in Hanover, New Hampshire, on October 20, 1827, to Constant Lang and Emily Murdock. Her father was a merchant and Dartmouth College alumnus who died in 1839. Elizabeth married George W. Livesay in Gallipolis, Ohio, on October 4, 1854, and they had at least 3 children together: Grace H., born around 1856; Theodore Murdock, born around 1858; and Mary E., born around 1863. The family moved to Chicago, Illinois, around 1870, but the Great Chicago Fire prompted them to return to Gallipolis in 1871. They moved to Ironton, Ohio, in 1873, and she remained there for the rest of her life. She died on May 11, 1890.
