Jacob S. Boreman Elected to the Missouri State Legislature
October 13, 1869

In October 1869, Jacob S. Boreman, running as a Republican, won a seat in the Missouri state legislature.

A REPUBLICAN VICTORY IN KANSAS CITY

We are glad to see that our old friend Judge Boreman has been elected to the Missouri Legislature from the Western District of Jackson county, Missouri, embracing Kansas City and Westport, by a handsome majority. Judge Boreman was a true out-and-out Republican in Kansas City in the darkest days of the war. He is an intelligent gentleman and will make a conscientious and faithful legislator. We congratulate Kansas City upon electing a Republican, and so good a one to represent her in the Legislature. –Lawrence Journal.
