J. W. Hancock
J. W. Hancock, aged 63 years, deputy clerk of the federal court, died yesterday morning at 11 o’clock at his home, 812 West Tenth street, after an illness of several months. His death was the result of a complication of diseases.
Mr. Hancock had been in very bad health for several months, and while his death was not a surprise, it came as a great shock to his many friends in this city and throughout the state. As a man he was loved and respected by his fellow men to a high degree, and a host of bereaved friends mourn his death.
Mr. Hancock is survived by a wife and four children. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o’clock from his late residence. Interment will be in the City cemetery. Dr. S. h. Werlein will conduct the services.
