Louisa Phillips Edwards

Louisa Phillips Edwards (maiden name: Louisa Phillips Hunt) was born around 1835 in Missouri to Ezra and Maria Hunt. Her father was a prominent Harvard-educated judge who settled in Missouri around 1820. She married William Waller Edwards in Bowling Green, Missouri, on October 15, 1856, and they had five children together: Margaret C., born on August 7, 1858; James Hamilton, born around 1860; Maria Hallie, born on May 7, 1862; Claude H., born on November 10, 1863; and Philip S., born around 1865. Louisa died of typhoid fever in Lincoln County, Missouri, on October 19, 1872, and she was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery.
