Alexander Jackson to His Aunt

Alexander Jackson wrote a letter to his aunt telling her that he is sending his pay home.

Octr 7th 1864

Kind aunt it is with that i take my pen in hand to inform you that we are well and in good health and hope this may find you in the same health my object is in writing you this letter is to let you know that we have been paid off and we have sent three hundred dollars to you to keep for us we sent one hundred + fifty dollars a piece by express and we want you to look out for it and send us word as soon as you get it give my love to all of the friends no more to say at present but remain yours truly untell death
