Helen Webb
Helen Webb was born around 1849 in Connecticut to Darius and Cordelia Webb. Her father was a laborer who owned $700 of real estate and $200 of personal property by 1860. She was baptized on July 4, 1852, and she grew up and attended school in Danbury, Connecticut. She married Charles F. McHan around 1867, and their daughter Mae was born around 1890. They lived in Danbury, and her husband worked as a hatter. By 1870, they owned $500 of personal property. Her husband died on April 17, 1923. She applied for a widow’s pension in May 1923 and eventually received one. By 1930, she was living with her niece Grace Clark in Danbury, and she owned a home valued at $15,000. She died in 1941.
