Albert G. Hall was born on January 13, 1809, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to Spicer Hall. He married Elizabeth Reynolds, and he moved to Belmont County, Ohio, by the early 1830s. They had at least six children: Lybrand, born around 1833; Harriet, born around 1835; James, born around 1837; Ella, born around 1840; Taylor, born around 1844; and John P. born around 1847. Hall worked as a shoemaker. Elizabeth died sometime in the 1850s, and he married Aurelia P. Stevens in Belmont County on November 30, 1858. Their daughter Mary was born around 1860. The family moved to Landis, New Jersey, in 1869, and by 1870, they owned $1,000 of real estate and $100 of personal property. They eventually settled in Philadelphia, and he died of “chronic inflammation of the kidneys” on August 2, 1881.
