Dency C. Hibbard (maiden name unknown) was born around 1811 in New York. She married Pliny Hibbard, and they had at least three children: Ann, born around 1840; Thomas, born around 1842; and Augustus, born around 1847. They lived in Palmyra, New York, and her husband worked as a carpenter. By 1850, they owned $1,400 of real estate. A decade later, they owned $1,500 of real estate and $200 of personal property, and by 1870, their wealth had grown to $2,000 of real estate and $1,000 of personal property. She died in Palmyra on February 23, 1884.
