Dear Son and daughters I now set down to drop you A few lines to let you no we are All well at present Thanks be to the most hy for his blessing Hopeing when these lines come to hand tha may Find you all well and doing well I said we was all well father and mother Are boath down down sick now so bad that We have to help them in and out of bead It is hard to tel whitch will di first tho tha May live some time yet we have A harde time You may be shure and no not how long it will last I have not mutch to rite at present it is now snoing We have more snow on the ground then we have had This winter we have had the finest wether This month I ever saw for the time of your But it now looks like winter has set in Times is stil harde money is hard to git The hoal talk is war and it may come for Aut I no but I hope for beter things yet Now Wm I think I will be out thare next Fall to see you all and maby I will come out In time to so wheete but I can not tel what Will take place yet you no my situation So I need not tel you enny more A bout the Mater I Am stil hard at worke and I git But litel sleepe makes it go harder stil /
 
I want you to Rite in your next leter and Let me no what time you will want your plow I have A lot of worke now promest I fear more Than I will be Abel to do by my self I want To have your plow thare be fore you neede it I have not seen James since mother came home And I no not what he is ging to do I got A leter From Wm last friday tha was all well when It was rote I can not tel enny thin A bout Sols We have heard nothing from them for some time Mr Fordrs Famly is all well bob is here Now James Mandlen is ded he dide on the First day of this month and he was the worst Looking site I ever saw heath hear is generly Good I must now come to A close by saying Give our best love and respects cosen will je Jam Booker and famly and Curtes and famly And all inqureing friends tel all his foalks Wans him to stay out thare So fare well for the present hopeing to remain

            Now Julia A few words to you you rote you was tolerbel well satis fide and that I was glad to hear tho you would like to be at home that Night you said that I was shure you would not want To come back I still think the same way yet Thare was A young man started west yesterday And said he would be gon A weeke or more he Would not tel eney one whare he was going you may Ges who that man was I now want you to be contended if you was hear now you would have harde times Now I am done for the present Rite Soon

Dear Brother and Sisters it is with great Pleasure that I set down this good Sabaths Eavning to informe you that I am stil a live and geting rite a long I went to Will Colglaziers last Saturday week to a quilting and staid until midnight and then Annie and I come to Abes and staid al knight and I was at that Choping the 14 of this Month and I guess you no whare that was we saw a very nise time for they was too partyes that knig Ad Cauble Come and made Will go after the docter a bout twelv oclock that knight wel Jule I went to meeting / to Day and Margret was their and Robert and Will is gon he told me that he was going to stay About a week but he would not tel me Where he was a going So I gess he Iis acoming out their
 
Well I gess I had beter tel you a bout the baby adam Caubles has got aboy wel I dont know what rite Well Albert Jane is here now and she ses that she would like very much Jane rote you a leter last knight well Al you must come home be fore the last day of our School and Jane ses tel you to come home by next thursday week fore Clarck is a going to hav a exhibition the last knight and wee are a going to hav a spelling atuesday knight at our School hous next Well Jule Jane ses she is not scard about Albert for she has got the oldes Clame and She ses that there are no danger of martha a cuting her out Well it is About dark and I gess Margret ses if you rite her aleter she has got something the best to rite to you wel I must quit yours truly
