Dear wife and children i think it a happy privileg to inform you that i am well for which i am verry thankful and it is my sincear prayr that these lines may reach you in good health i was verry happy to hear from you i received your letter day before yesterday it is the firs that i have word that i have received from since i left home i am verry thankful for for the money and the verces to it allways does me good to get some thing of that kind in a letter now Ruth you said you would not send any more how will that / make me feel pleas send some in every letter for i like to read them over and over you know i do
 
now Ruth let me know how your general health is i will be apt to remain hear some time we have preaching everry Sunday in the dineing room this is a large hospital there is six wards and about a hundred in each ward i suppose this is a large nice town but i have been hear now over 6 weeks and have not been 5 rods from this building except to a well for watter 3 or 4 times my work is not i have but one man to take care of now but i have to be there all the time then i have to wait on the whole ward half of every 3rd night 
 
O i long to be at home yes to be at home with my family and have a chance to show to you dear Ruth and to all relatives especily to H. C. that i am as good as some other folks and can be a good and kind husband and farther O may god help me to carry out my determinations and give me life and health and strength to return to to my much loved family and spend a few years in peace and happyness now i dont know what to say about going to Mo but i expect it would be best for you to go this fall if John goes

O Ruth doubt not my love to you tis stronger than you immagin O i long to see the time when i can by the help of god cause you to be happy yes when peace and happyness shall reign in our little family trust in the lord and all will be well Phy are you going to school learn as fast as you can get up early and hoe your garden well O i wish i was there and hear Sibby and tote sing turn a walk a day and Prinny sing rosy be the prarie flour. pleas write ofton
