Well Ruth i will write again i have written several times and received no answer i am sitting in my bunk on a steam boat i am not i well my head ache…we came here 2 days since we expect to go down the river to tennisee and land and gard some place or elce give the rebbels fits and send them to eternity whare there troubles will be ore or to suffer a eternal life of punishment the majority to the later place
well my dear Ruth and children if you ha stopt writeing to me and given me up as lost if i am forsaken by all that is is near and dear to my heart pleas send a few lines and tell me the reason of it
O Ruth for one line to ware next my heart /
well Ruth i sent $25 dollars to you by express i directed it to Cochranton Po that was rong but if you get it thair or Larue or at Marion it will be all rite write and let me now if you get it
Laura you can write and if your unkel Harve Chap has stopt you ma from writeing to me pleas write once more so i will know whare you are i expect to come to Mtgomery this spring
