Saturday eavening thoughts
Depart vain world from earthly care
From earthly labors free
For Sabath hours my sole prepair
For rest O lord with thee
A Sabbath lustre breaks the hills
And paints yon eavening sky
Above around all nature fills
With heaven born melody
Again that song good will to men
By eastern shepherds heard
To ears of faith rings out again
In each familiar word
If thus thy Sabaths hear below
Can charm the earth warm breast
What joys the wearied hearted know
Who find the eternal rest
