Description

As shown on a 1925 Sanborn map, a two-story frame dwelling located on Broad Street two blocks from the train tracks and adjacent to the Howard Home, also listed in the Green Book. The area at that time was dominated by packing companies and other industrial enterprises.  

Detailed History

The earliest known record of the establishment is dated to 1927 when J.H. Webb was the listed contact for the Broad Street Inn in a newspaper advertisement. There is a lack of information on the property until 1979 when the address 415 Broad Street was listed a the location for Gibson Funeral Services in a holiday posting.
