371 Clarissa Street does not appear on Rochester’s Sanborn maps (1912-1950), although there was a restaurant at 372 Clarissa Street that might have been the Chicken Shack.
Detailed History
This neighborhood no longer exists, as it was rebuilt during Rochester’s urban revitalization projects in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Note that most of the streets in this area have been renamed and addresses renumbered.
