On the 1914-1951 Sanborn Insurance Company Map Sheet 168, the building is three-stories and labeled as a restaurant standing on the east side of Pennsylvania Avenue. Now apartment buildings.
Detailed History
On the Afro-American "Pennsylvania Avenue" column on September 13, 1947, it was noted that the Dreamland Cafe (not Tavern) had new management and Ethel Bell was in charge of the "eatery." (P. 6)
