Detailed History
Sources indicate that this property/business was in the same family for generations. The 1889 and 1892 City Directories list A.N. Scott as operating an eating house. In 1921, Bertha Scott is a cafe manager at that address. Ajah Nathan Scott (1858-1909) and Bertha White (b. 1865) were married in December 1876 in Stafford County. A.N. Scott and the Scott estate after 1909 paid taxes on this property for the first third of the 20th century.
