Even though Mrs. R. Craddle’s tourist home was listed in The Green Book from 1939 to 1941, there is no record of its existence. There is no property owned by an R. Craddle (or any other Craddle) in Newport. And, there is no listing for a building at 165 Spring St. after 1940 or on the 1940 census (and hence no listing in the directories). It seems likely that the building at this address was demolished sometime after 1941.
