Detailed History

The Rhineharts lived in this dwelling from at least 1938 to 1948. Mr. Charles Rhinehart died in 1948 after an apparent fall at his home at the age of 71 with his wife Rose passing away as well later that same year. The two had a foster son named Paul who was serving with the merchant marines at the time of their deaths. Charles was a member of the Duryee Memorial A.M.E. Church. Newspaper articles provide the names of a number of other individuals who called 125 Church St. home.
