Pine Acres Country Club has notices in The Press of Atlantic City all through the 1930s, '40s and '50s. Parties, pig roasts, listening parties to hear radio broadcasts of prize fights, and more were advertised in both paid advertising and in social notes in the paper. Always, the club was listed as being in "West Pleasantville", a place name that no longer exists. The Borough of "Pleasantville" just on the mainland west of Atlantic City, was incorporated in 1889. It was been extensively developed in the past 50 years with housing and businesses. In the mid-20th century it was a majority Black community; in the 2020 the Black population declined from 2010 while the Latino population increased to over 50%.
