Description
The 1956 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map of Hampton indicates that the building at 140 W. Queen was a two-story, brick "colored" hotel with a restaurant and store on the ground floor. The roof was slate or tin. A building next door housed vaudeville and moving pictures ("colored"). This site is now a parking lot. The entire block between Armistead and Franklin is vacant or parking. The only building is the Queen Street Baptist Church at 190 West Queen.
