According to a 1926-1951 Buffalo Sanborn Map, the Williams Hotel was located in a three-story building with composition roofing on the south side of Sycamore Street between Oak Street and Elm Street.
Detailed History
Williams’ Hotel was advertised alongside Williams’ Liquor Store, located at 203 Sycamore Street, suggesting that both had the same owner. The business was listed incorrectly in the Green Book from 1959-1961 as being at 9 Syracuse St. The building is no longer extant, and the property is home to the New York State Insurance Fraud Buffalo Office.
