Altough the building has been torn down, it was a two-bay three story row house that was part of the block of such buildings in Harlem Park that was constructed in the late nineteenth century.

Catherine Young is listed as the proprietor in the 1952 Baltimore C&P Telephone Directory and she also lived on West Lafayette Street with her two sons, a daughter-in-law, her sister and niece according to the 1950 US Census.
