A photo from the 1962 Green Book depicts a one-story structure with at least 6 motel rooms.
Detailed History
This site is no longer exant but was located north of Route 60 near Lanexa in New Kent County. A 1962 Green Book ad indicates that it was open 24 hours, managed by O.P. Rhodes and Matilda Dillard. Today, the site consists of a paved driveway or parking area, and two areas of paving which may have been walkways leading to the motel. The site was registered as archaeology site 44NK0298 in VCRIS. The hotel foundtions are likely hidden by forest growth. Description courtesy Fairfield Foundation. The hotel was demolished in 2008.
