The building, including 474-476 Michigan and 94-96 William, was labeled a nightclub on the 1950 updated Sanborn map. Behind fronting on William was a filling station, garage, and car wash. Another nightclub with an attached restaurant and filling station was across Vine Alley.

Detailed History

Pearl's was owned by Pearl Leppard Nichols according to a Buffalo Courier article. She would later sell the business to Mr. Isadore Segell. Pearl's was granted a liquor license at least three different times in 1940, 1955, and 1956. It was located in a business area near other nightclubs, gas stations, a car wash, and Munters Delivery. The lot Pearl's Bar and Grill sat on is currently vacant.
