Blackstone’s at 399 Clarissa Street was a two-story double storefront, with a wooden frame structure and non-combustible tile or metal roof. The two storefronts were divided by a 24” thick wall. Today, this storefront no longer exists. Note that most of the streets in this area have since been renamed, and addresses renumbered. The land where the Blackstone’s stood is now owned by the Mt. Oliviet Baptist Church (135-153 Adams Street).
