Description

The Manor Guest House was located just to the east of the railroad tracks in the shore town of Belmar. It was most likely the large, two-and-a-half story brick building with two, one-story wooden porches, one to the north and one to the south, depicted on the 1905 Sanborn insurance map. This late Victorian structure no longer exists; a modern apartment building, owned by the Belmar Housing Authority, sits on the lot today.

Detailed History

Manor Guest House, which was listed as a vacation resort in 1961 and 1962, was probably the same building as the Riverview Hotel. The Riverview, also in The Green Book, stopped listing after 1960. Nothing about the Manor Guest House has been found.
