Ann Booth (maiden name Kiddle) was born in England on February 22, 1823, and she married William Booth there in the early 1840s. They had at least eight children: George, born around 1844; Alfred, born around 1846; Herbert, born around 1848; Emily, born around 1850; Harriet, born around 1852; Mary, born around 1854; Kate, born around 1858; and Charles, born around 1859. The family immigrated to America around 1849 and settled in Brooklyn, New York. They moved to Buffalo in the early 1850s. In 1860, the family owned $2,000 of real estate and $300 of personal property. A decade later, they had $3,000 of real estate and $2,000 of personal property. She died in Buffalo on May 26, 1909.
