Henrietta Parshall (maiden name: Dey) was born on May 17, 1821, in Warren County, Ohio, to John Dey and Sarah Mount. She married William F. Parshall there on August 30, 1841, and they had at least three children: Laura, born around 1842; William, born around 1845; and John, born around 1846. The couple lived in Warren County, and her husband worked as a merchant and banker. They owned $6,000 of real estate in 1850. A decade later, they owned $10,000 of real estate and $25,000 of personal property. The couple moved to Walker, West Virginia, sometime in the 1860s, and in 1870, they reported owning $4,000 of personal property. She died on November 4, 1872.
