Rhoda Tribbett (maiden name: Booher) was born around 1841 in Indiana to William Martin Booher and Lydia Cox. Her father was a farmer who owned $9,000 of real estate and $3,500 of personal property by 1860. Her mother died around 1854. She grew up and attended school in Franklin, Indiana. She married James Wesley Tribbett around 1859, and their son Clark was born around 1860.
They lived with Tribbett’s parents in Franklin, and by 1860, they owned $400 of personal property. They established their own household in the 1860s, and her husband earned a living as a farmer. By 1870, they owned $4,300 of real estate and $150 of personal property. By 1880, her husband was supplementing his income by working as a livestock dealer. By 1900, they were living in Sugar Creek, Indiana, and her husband was working as a landlord. James died in 1904, and she returned to Franklin. She died in 1917.
