Mary B. Covert was born around 1867 in New Jersey to Henry and Lucinda Covert. Her father was a shoemaker who owned $2,950 of real estate and $500 of personal property by 1870. The family lived in South Brunswick, New Jersey, until the 1870s, when they moved to Montgomery, New Jersey. She married Clarkson S. Appleget on June 24, 1896, and they apparently had no children. They lived in East Windsor, New Jersey. Her husband worked as a blacksmith, and she worked as a dressmaker. Her husband died in the early 1900s, and by 1910, she was living in Trenton, New Jersey. She died sometime after 1910.
