Zeruah F. Titus was born around 1848 in Maine to Weston Titus and Sarah Emmerton. Her father was a miller who owned $500 of real estate and $100 of personal property in 18560. The family lived in Waldoboro, Maine, until the 1850s, when they moved to Union, Maine. She married Samuel T. Long sometime the late 1860s, and they had at least three children: Charles, born around 1870; Sadie, born around 1872; and Harry, born around 1875. The family lived in Boston, Massachusetts, and her husband worked as a carpenter. Samuel probably died sometime before 1907, and she married Charles H. Cadieu in Boston on October 27, 1907. She died sometime after 1910.
