Rachel Worman (maiden name: Forgus) was born on July 16, 1836, in New Jersey, to John and Priscilla Forgus. The family lived in Greenwich, New Jersey, and her father died sometime before 1850. She married Thomas Worman on March 18, 1854, and they had at least six children: Robert, born around 1855; John, born around 1856; Charles, born around 1858; Sarah, born around 1859; Daniel, born around 1861; and William, born around 1868.
They lived in Franklin, New Jersey, and her husband worked as a farmer. By 1860, they owned $1,200 of personal property. They moved to East Allen, Pennsylvania, in the 1860s, and by 1870, they owned $2,000 of personal property. By 1900, they were living in Bath, Pennsylvania. Her husband died around 1904. She remained in Bath, living with her sons Robert and Daniel. She died of “senile pneumonia” in East Allen on January 6, 1925.
