Lillian May Tucker was born on October 8, 1857, in New York to Lewis and Deborah Tucker. Her father was a wagon maker who owned $1,000 of real estate and $300 of personal property by 1860. She grew up and attended school in Arcadia, New York, and her father died on October 29, 1868. By 1880, she was working as a teacher in Lyons, New York. She married Charles B. Robinson on March 30, 1886, and they had at least two children: Rowland, born around 1887; and Leslie, born around 1890. They lived in Sodus, New York, and her husband worked as a farmer and a carpenter. By 1930, their house was valued at $4,500. She died on August 18, 1932.
