Deborah O. Tucker (maiden name: Osgood) was born around 1834 in New York. She married Lewis V. Tucker on June 20, 1854, and they had two children: Frank, born on July 14, 1855; and Lillian, born on October 8, 1857. They lived in Arcadia, New York, and her husband worked as a master wagon maker. By 1860, they owned $1,000 of real estate and $300 of personal property. Her husband died on October 29, 1868, and she successfully applied for a widow’s pension the following year. She remained in Arcadia, and by 1880, she was working as a teacher in the New York State Asylum for Idiots. She died in July 1903.
