Ann Haworth (maiden name: Wilkinson) was born around 1822 in England. She married Reuben Haworth around 1845, and they had at least five children: Reuben, born on May 7, 1846; Elizabeth, born around 1850; Frederick, born around 1854; John, born around 1859; and Sarah, born around 1861. The family immigrated to America around 1849 and settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her husband earned a living as a brass finisher.
They moved to South Newmarket (present-day Newfields), New Hampshire, in the 1850s, and by the 1860s, they owned $1,300 of real estate and $200 of personal property. A decade later, their wealth had grown to $2,000 of real estate and $200 of personal property. She remained in Newfields for the rest of her life, and she died there sometime in the late 1800s.
