Nancy Riddle (maiden name: Childress) was born around 1809 in South Carolina. She married Thomas L. Bramblett, and they had at least six children: Catherine, born around 1829; Selia, born around 1831; William, born around 1833; John, born around 1835; Thomas, born around 1836; and James, born around 1838. Her husband died around 1838, and she eventually married Silas Riddle. They had at least five children: Thomas, born around 1844; Levina, born around 1847; Fidelia, born around 1849; Oliver, born around 1852; and Mattison, born around 1854. They lived in Laurens, South Carolina, and her husband worked as a farmer. By 1850, they owned $500 of real estate. They eventually moved to Bates, South Carolina, and she died sometime after 1880.
