Cornelia Harrison (maiden name: Dennis) was born around April 1823 in Little Silver, New Jersey, to Anthony Dennis. Her father was a veteran of the American Revolution. She married Robert Harrison, and their son Albert was born around 1844. Her husband reportedly “spent most of his life at Galveston, Texas,” and he died of yellow fever a few weeks before their son was born.
She lived in Rumson Neck, and she married John Lloyd by 1863. The family lived in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, and Lloyd worked as a stage driver. Her husband died on February 22, 1891. By 1900, she was living in her grandson John Harrison’s house in Shrewsbury. She died of cancer at 7a.m. on June 5, 1908, in Red Bank, New Jersey.
